In the BRONX!!

So beautiful, so sunny & best of all so FREE!!  One of my favorite words. :O)

Doesn’t the Library look like an old Plantation House?  In a good way . :O)

OH what a delight to wall up the lush, deep and rich green grass up through the Tree to the Library.

The New York Botanical Garden in The Bronx, NYC

 

Founded in 1891!

 

eight years before the Bronx Zoo which is next door & over 250 Arches away!

Come with me on my tour of this Historic Landmark with collections comprising more than one million living plants, The Bronx River, trees, and fruit and sculpture, OH MY!!

 

What a treat!

 

First to the Farmer Market @ the foot of the Library

The Farmers Market is Open on Wednesday from 10AM to 3PM

Onward!!! To the Tram! Although I could walk the over the 250 Arches of forest, hills and waterfalls I thought the Tram was a smart option. Made so pleasurable by my beautiful tour guide that gave me a delightful education!

It’s Hump Day again!!

Good Morning you beautiful people!!!

Yes again it is hump day.   Above Buck is enjoying it by chillin in the studio.  

(the star of some of my paintings hehehe)

But if you can overcome Wednesday you are just a hop skip and a jump the the Weekend!!!   YaY!!

Oh it is happy on the bright side of the street.

to the Artist Makoto Fujimura

As you can see above he is showing right now in the NYC at Dillon Gallery.   I really admire Makoto because he uses his faith to inspire his amazing work.  

His current works in the words of Dillon’s Press Release:

“Makoto Fujimura’s exhibit “Charis” which is primarily composed of three monumental gold compositions completed over the last 10 years in New York, shows the significance of his most powerful work; December Hour, Golden Fire, and Charis.

In painting December Hour, he navigated between thoughts of life and death. Dedicating the piece to a dying friend, he prayed desperately as he layered gold over gold, struggling to understand God’s wisdom in taking someone so young.”

I can’t wait to see his new works!!!

The Bronx Zoo Today too!!

Well today is the free day at the Gardens & The Zoo.

WHOOOO HOOO!!!!   FREE!!!

I love free stuff!!  :O)
